Crow’s Nest Theatre Company was formed by artists who believe difficult subjects are important to talk about. So through storytelling, music and puppetry, Crow’s Nest will shed some light on the darker corners of our world.
Emma Waterford: Deviser and performer
Emma Waterford has performed in theatre productions across the UK, Europe and America. Previous productions include Leonce and Lena (Brockley Jack), Pinter’s People (Haymarket Theatre), A Man for all Seasons (Haymarket Theatre), The Hollow (National Tour). She regularly performs her solo show based on Nell Gwynn and can often be found performing comedy improvisation.
Roberta Zuric: Director and deviser
Roberta Zuric is a freelance theatre director. Previous work includes Zero for the Young Dudes! (Orange Tree Theatre/National Theatre), Alice in the Cuckoo’s Nest (Librarian Theatre/UK Tour), What We Leave Behind (Roundhouse), The Little Match Girl & the Fir Tree (Mirth, Marvel and Maud), All Quiet on the Western Front (Pleasance and SoHo Playhouse, NYC), A Christmas Carol (Librarian Theatre), Naked (Brockley Jack). She is an associate artist of Incognito Theatre, Young Pleasance Theatre and National Youth Theatre. Alongside directing, Roberta is an experienced facilitator and drama teacher.
Arran Glass: Composer, deviser and performer
Arran Glass is an Actor-Musician, Composer and Puppeteer who has recently moved back to his hometown of Bristol. As a performer and puppeteer he has worked with Little Angel Theatre, Polka Theatre, Myrtle Theatre, The Wrong Crowd, Metta Theatre, Theatre by the Lake and CBeebies. Composition work includes Sleeping Beauty in the Wood and The Journey Home for Little Angel, Macbeth (Riverside Studios), Teofila (Suspense Festival) and The Three Sillies (Arcola). Recently he composed a piece celebrating and challenging the history of Bristol which opened the High Sheriff’s concert at Bristol Cathedral. Arran plays and sings in English folk band Apple of my Eye who are currently working on their fourth album.
Martina Dobosz: Illustrator
Martyna drew Alma and illustrated scenery for the play. She is a landscape architect but also a freelancing photographer, designer and an illustrator.
Sarah Mills: Set Designer
Sarah Mills is an experienced set designer who is designing the set for Alma. She has worked at The National Theatre, The Royal Lyceum in Edinburgh, The Zorlu Centre in Istanbul, Shakespeare’s Globe, The Ambassadors Theatre and the RSC, and with award winning companies such as Kneehigh, Inspector Sands and Art Angel.
